"vibes by ginger" is a musical project by Ginger Bisel consisting of various styles of music that make you "feel good vibes."  Ginger uses the Roland Fantom G8 recording workstation keyboard, Korg M3 synth as well as her muramatsu flute, yamaha alto sax and selmer super action 80 tenor sax to paint a musical canvas of emotion.  You never know what to expect!

Ginger has spent a lifetime studying music. She has a masters of music from University of Miami, Florida 1987. Beginning flute at the age of 8, ginger grew up playing flute in school band and at 11, taught herself to play the piano. By the time she was 13, she began learning improvisation by playing with the radio and several years later won "outstanding instrumentalist" award from the National Association of Jazz Educators. Ginger also studied orchestral flute with the late Warren Little, principal flute of Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and became a member of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra. She toured Europe with America's Youth in Concert symphonic wind ensemble.  At Columbus University, Ga, Ginger studied the flute, sax and piano and was elected for "Who's Who among students in American Universities and Colleges" as well as being awarded a special citation for "outstanding musical instrumentalist of Columbus University."  Ginger has played in community orchestras, on boats, golf courses, parks, hotels, museums, restaurants, churches, weddings, musicals, concerts, with groups small and large,  taught many wonderful students and raised a family.  She has performed, arranged and taught many styles of music over the last 40 years, including classical, jazz, pop, blues, latin, praise & worship, and rock n' roll (and loved every minute of it!)

Her musical inspirations are diverse and include her grandmother Hazel Paine the piano player, her band directors Richard Nutt, Bill Greenhaw, col. Hal Gibson & Alfred Reed, her flute teachers Warren Little & Natalie Kruger, her sax teacher Dr. Edwin Riley, Stan Getz, Earl Bostic, James Galway, Tchaikovsky, J.S.
